Compaction Testing
The Coombabah students were instructed in the operation of a soil compaction meter. We were very fortunate that the Redland Bay Research Centre who under go turf testing and development could loan us a compaction meter for this testing to be under taken by the students.
The test areas were tested as well as areas all over the oval so that we can see the effect of the soil biology contained in our Wormtec worm extract in de-compacting the oval soils.
Test areas in the fore ground of photo have had applications of from left to right blue cracker dust, worm castings and river sand no water or extracts have been applied.
